While enrolled in the University of Oregon’s Sports Business class, the class was assigned groups and told to study and analyze a certain athlete’s Social Media presence across numerous platforms. My group selected Mohammed Salah due to the fact that while being a very influential soccer star, many Americans know very little to nothing about him due to the lack of popularity of the sport in this country. While researching and studying Salah, we came to recognize just how big of a figurehead someone can be for both a sport, culture, and religion.
